I was shooting footage that day for an annual highlight video that I produce for the Angels. We were able to get a few innings in before it began to rain and the umpires suspended play. Both teams were ordered into their dugouts to wait out the rain and lightning. I continued shooting despite the obvious lack of baseball action, and when I reviewed the footage later, an opportunity to capture the spirit and camaraderie of MSBL baseball revealed itself. I edited the piece, posted it on YouTube and sent a link to my teammates.

Arno Baars (Angels Infielder/Outfielder, Sound Designer), Hal Greer (Angels Infielder, Graphic Designer) and myself (Angels Pitcher, Video Editor) have collaborated on Angels DVDs for 2005 and 2006. The 2007 DVD is in the works and will feature the rain delay video as an "extra". Once the 2007 DVD is complete, I plan on uploading the "main" highlight montages from all three DVDs to YouTube.
