Cory starred as an outfielder at Palomar
Community College in San Diego County, and then transferred to San Francisco State
University. He eventually returned to Palomar, and from 1998 to 2001, served as the
team’s hitting and outfield coach. He also served as an associate scout with the
Atlanta Braves from 1999-2001. Two years ago, Cory founded the SoCal Baseball Academy,
and quickly established one of the top travel team baseball programs in the county
for players ranging from ages eight to 15. Last year, his age 14 team won the national
championship for its age bracket. Conrad’s SoCal Baseball Academy also operates outstanding
baseball camps throughout the year. During the Christmas break last year, every instructor
at the camp was an active or former professional player. One of those instructors,
Hank Blalock, is now a rising star in the American League. To learn more about the SoCal Baseball Academy and it programs, visit the website at www.socalbaseballacademy.com. Cory can be reached at (760) 533-7337, or by email at cory.conrad@socalbaseballacademy.com. |
